About

I have a mobile functional rehabilitation practice focused on veterinary application in Austin, TX.

I’m a
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association                           Member NSCA
Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) through the program at the University of Tennessee
Member American College of Sports Medicine
Member International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management
Certified CPR/First Aid/AED through the Red Cross

I love low-level (class IIIb) laser therapy for healing and have been to two laser conferences, absorbing like a sponge.

I have been a student of holistic nutrition, healing nutrition, and nutrition for sport training since the mid-1970′s.

I have developed training programs for a variety of people and a variety of sports settings/disciplines in various stages of training.

I love working on functional rehabilitation for animals and have worked in similar capacity with humans, including world-class athletes and medically-complex cases, off and on for over 30 years.

I had a double mastectomy in Oct., 2007, after a diagnosis of breast cancer in Sept., 2007. I am subsequently better-versed in the nuances of physical pain control and nerve regeneration. ;) I volunteer locally with Team Survivor and am an advocate of getting moving after cancer diagnosis and during treatment. I am an advocate for multi-modal and intermediary pain relief, “control”, working on introducing remedies besides the “all” (massive doses of opiates) or *virtually* “nothing” (anti-inflammatory) post-surgically for humans and other animals.

A large variety of things make up my life, however the above are pertinent to my current occupation and pioneering efforts in functional animal rehab and conditioning.

Blessings-
